We're delighted to debut the fourth Monotonik release from prodigious U.S. idm veteran Transient, in the form of the 20-track 'Hexual Ceiling' album. He's previously released on multiple major netlabels such as Kikapu, Ogredung and Miasmah, as well as debuting remixes and other tracks on labels such as Darla and TBTMO, plus his own Noisy Vagabond, and this longform effort doesn't disappoint. Anyhow, there are all kinds of highlights to the album, from the delightful drift of lead-off track...

D.O.A. (1950) is a film noir drama film directed by Rudolph Maté, considered a classic of the stylistic genre. The frantically-paced plot revolves around a doomed man's quest to find out who has poisoned him – and why – before he dies. The film begins with a scene called "perhaps one of cinema's most innovative opening sequences" by a BBC reviewer. The scene is a long, behind-the-back tracking sequence featuring Frank Bigelow (O'Brien) walking through a hallway into a police...

Waterplea, Russian electronic music duo and also contributors to Mixgalaxy Records , finished a 4 piece album with some obsolete technological feel "Rudiments". It is described in the first track "Satellite", using several languages (there is Japanese version as well). Rudiments makes us feel we are floating in space. A highly recommended release is this pure ambient mini-album.

College student Nan Barlow visits the village of Whitewood as research for her paper on witchcraft in New England, particularly the case of Elizabeth Selwyn. Her tutor, Professor Alan Driscoll(Lee), recommends the Raven's Inn, run by a Mrs. Newless. Rather unwisely, given the amount of low-hanging fog outside(and against the advice of Mrs. Newless), Nan takes an immediate interest in the basement... "One day I was sitting in my room, watching the rain through the window. It was late afternoon, quite dark around. The drops were hitting the glass from the outside - for me it was only a rumbling. I also heard a subtle drone but I couldn't think a way where it comes from. There should be only silence around but I still heard these drones. Was it in my head? One important thing: that rain lasted four hours. Fot this whole time I was sitting there, looking, listening. Apart from anything I...

"Gazing at the rain, I consider what it means to belong, to become part of something. To have someone cry for me. From someplace distant, so very distant. From, ultimately, a dream. No matter how far I reach out, no matter how fast I run, I'll never make it. Why would anyone want to cry for me?" from Haruki Murakami's "Dance Dance Dance"

Don't be fooled by the name: there's nothing rudimentary about First Soundscape Experiment. Fever Asym's ambient wanderings are melodic and atonal, beatless and rhythmic.

"I'm trying to explore the borders of music. Therefore I'm moving from simple music on the one hand and electronic noises and soundscapes on the other". So R. Nuske has returned with new package, and with new alias. He is in the direction as he showed us "And 7" in Footprints (foot100). Glitches and noises in laidback form.

Another great surprise for me in 2009, since the submission from Renzu. It came from U.S.A. again : the brain behind Treetrunk Records, Mystified visited us. Treetrunk was originally collecting experimental ambient music, but now "opened the doors a bit to other genres". This time, we did too (we already have experimental material, but we expanded the range). "It is a blend of techno, ambient, drone and noise - with mostly bright sounds and circuit-bent rhythms." (Cover art...

Here comes very exciting glitch tunes by Ventolyn & Becotyde from Ireland. "Ventolyn & Becotyde has three releases to date, two LPs and one EP, appearing on a few netlabels, Section 27 and Pavillion 36. His first piece, was an Ambient / Glitch / Downtempo album titled, "Splitter" which was conceived in early 2009, being a collection of Simon's first ever tracks, followed by another album titled, "Audissect" which was a 22 track collection of different styles,...
